FAQ’s

Rocket Bail Bonds works fast to secure release from jail, helping you or your loved one return home without delay.

A bail bond is a legal agreement that ensures a defendant will return to court after being released from jail. It’s arranged through a bail bond agency for the defendant and serves as a guarantee that they’ll appear for all scheduled court dates.

o move forward with the bail process, Rocket Bail Bonds asks the cosigner to provide two things:

A valid photo ID issued by the government (like a driver’s license or state ID)

A recent pay stub that confirms current employment

The court in the arresting county decides the bail amount, following rules set by California state law.  Following the Bail Decision, a Rocket Bail Bonds agent will calculate a fee based on regulation by the State of California. Rocket Bail Bonds will secure the defendant’s release after receiving payment and confirming a qualified cosigner.

The bail amount refers to the total sum the court requires for a defendant’s release.  The premium is the fee Rocket Bail Bonds charges for arranging a defendant’s release before trial. In California, this fee is typically 10% of the total bail set by the court. For example, if bail is set at $20,000, the premium would be $2,000. This rate is set and regulated by state law.

Our agents work efficiently and can usually complete all required paperwork in about 15 minutes, getting the process started with minimal delay.

Cash, Credit Card, Money Order, Check or Bank Deposit

Release times typically range from 30 minutes to a few hours. The exact timing depends on the jail facility and the procedures of the county where the arrest occurred. Some locations move faster than others due to staffing, processing speed, and time of day.

Costs can vary based on the charges, bail amount, and location. To get accurate details for your specific case, call Rocket Bail Bonds at 1-619-292-0465 and speak directly with a licensed bail agent. No, once Rocket Bail Bonds posts the bail, the money you’ve paid is non-refundable. The premium is a service fee and must be paid in full, even if the case ends quickly. Any payment plan you’ve agreed to must also stay up to date.

A cosigner, also known as an indemnitor, is someone who agrees to take responsibility for the defendant while they are out on bail. This person promises to make sure the defendant appears in court and accepts financial responsibility if the defendant does not. That includes covering the full bail amount if necessary.

A bail bond is considered exonerated when the case is resolved and the court process is complete. At that point, the bond is officially closed, no matter the result of the trial. However, any remaining balance including bond premium, legal fees, or court costs must still be paid to Rocket Bail Bonds.

Reinstatement happens when someone misses a court date but wants to fix the situation. The court may cancel the bench warrant and allow the bail bond to become active again. With help from Rocket Bail Bonds, the defendant can return to court and receive a new hearing date. This process gives the defendant a second chance to follow court orders. Extra costs may apply for both the defendant and the cosigner.
